Ghost in the graveyard is a game very similar to hide and go seek, but with a few twists in addition to the original game. It starts off with each participant hiding, but when the person who is "it" finds another participant in their hiding spot, they must shout, "GHOST IN THE GRAVEYARD!" and all players run to the home base (any area that all players can fit on or be able to touch). Anybody who is tagged is now "it". This game is most fun when played in the dark.

ONE WAY to get tender ribs is to cook them all day, yes. Another way to get tender ribs is to boil them 45 minutes to an hour, apply a light dry rub, then grill them 15 minutes on each side. I say try both ways and choose what you like best.

No, I wouldn't boil a hamburger or steak, but I wouldn't leave it on a low heat grill for six hours either! We're talking about ribs, right?

I like to season the boiling water with onions, garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar, and even pineapple or apple juice if I'm feeling adventuresome. This adds plenty of flavor to the ribs.

In boiling out the fat, you certainly do lose flavor, but that fat is better poured down the drain than stuck to the insides of my arteries.

I've read many, many articles on the net that say "NEVER, EVER BOIL RIBS" from self proclaimed BBQ Kings and "experts". I say try it both ways and make up your own mind.

Temperature now added...oops...200-225 degrees should be good! I grill over charcoal and so I don't measure the temperature, but if I were cooking on a gas grill, that's what I would use.

Batons is a game for two teams with around 5 people each in them. Each player has a piece of cloth loosely tied to their wrist. This is their life - without it they must run back to base to get a new life before playing any other role.

Each team has a soft baton which they put in a large circle of rope (home). They then have to steal the other teams baton and bring it home too. The winner is the first team to get both batons home. However:

If you get tagged you lose your life without it they must run back to base to get a new life before playing any other role.

You cant go inside your own rope unless you are carrying a baton. This means the opposing team can catch their breath in your home!

Good question Katrina :) For most steaks in the oven 350-400 degrees is fine.

Thank you!
I have never boiled ribs first and wondered if I was doing it wrong!
I thought boiling would reduce some of the fat, but your article makes sense.
Thanks again
